How to detect solder bar degree

There are many kinds of solder bars, only lead solder bars have more than ten kinds from 15-63 degrees, but the outer packaging is marked with 63/37 molds. It is difficult for non-professional personnel to see the difference between them. Below we will introduce the inspection method of solder strip degree in detail:
1. Identify from appearance
The solder bar has two sides, and the front usually has some company, parameters and other product logos. The backside of the solder bar below 45 degrees usually has a dim light. The surface and back of the 63/37 solder bar have a glossy surface with a bluish-white color below 45 degrees, which can be easily identified based on this phenomenon.
2. To identify from the seal
Solder bars are all made by molds, and we can roughly identify the degree of solder bars from the seal. Judging from the thickness of the seal, the thinner the seal, the higher the tin content, and the thicker the seal, the lower the tin content.
3. Identify from the point of receipt
In this way, the 55-63 degree solder bar is judged by the closure of the seal. The height of the solder bar seal is almost difficult to identify from the surface of the solder bar, so we use the closing point of the seal to identify.
From the above three points, we can roughly detect the degree of solder bar, so we should pay more attention when purchasing, it is better to go to a regular company to buy.
