The composition of
leaded solder paste depends on the type of solder paste. There are many alloy components of leaded solder paste. Tin and lead are the main components in leaded solder paste alloys. The main components of low-temperature leaded solder paste alloys are bismuth. In addition to these, the alloys of solder pastes will have trace amounts of impurity metal elements (such as iron, zinc, copper, aluminum, silver, mercury, arsenic, etc.).
Advantages of leaded solder paste:
1. Low cost
One of the advantages of leaded solder paste is its low cost. Therefore, many domestic enterprises also choose leaded solder paste, which has low cost and high pollution.
2. Good printing effect
(1) Leaded solder paste printing has good rolling and tin drop properties, and can also complete fine printing for pads as low as 0.4mm pitch;
(2) When the leaded solder paste is continuously printed, its viscosity changes very little, and the operational life of the stencil is long, it will not dry for more than 12 hours, and it still maintains a good printing effect.
(3) The leaded solder paste still maintains its original shape for several hours after printing, and there is basically no slump phenomenon, and the SMD components will not be so easily offset.
3. Good reflow soldering effect
(1) Leaded solder paste has good soldering performance and can show proper wettability in different parts.
(2) Leaded solder paste can adapt to the requirements of different grades of welding equipment, without the need to complete welding in a nitrogen-filled environment, and can still show good welding performance in a wide reflow oven temperature range. Two types of furnace temperature setting methods can be used.
(3) The solder joints with lead solder paste are brighter
4. Less residue
The leaded solder paste has very little residue after soldering, the color is very light, and it has a large insulation resistance, which will not corrode the PCB, and can meet the requirements of rabbit cleaning.
