The welding effect of solder wire is good or bad, and the choice of electric soldering iron is very important. Because the tinning of the solder wire mainly depends on the temperature of the soldering iron tip to melt it to achieve the final purpose of soldering.
1. To have a good soldering effect, the solder wire must choose the most suitable soldering iron tip for soldering. According to the design of the circuit board and the temperature sensitivity of different products, it is particularly important to choose the right soldering iron tip. A suitable soldering iron tip can make the welding of solder wire achieve twice the result with half the effort.
2. Soldering with solder wire must use an electric soldering iron with good heat. A soldering iron tip with good thermal performance can reduce the temperature of solder wire welding, especially for the heat resistance considerations of electronic components and the requirements for safe operation, which is particularly important.
3. Use the soldering iron tip provided by the manufacturer. The iron tip will oxidize after being used for a period of time, and the soldering iron tip must be replaced at this time. It is emphasized that the replaced soldering iron head must be the same as the original configuration of the electric soldering iron. This can reduce various failures of the solder wire during the welding process and improve safety.
4. The temperature of the soldering iron must be adjusted before soldering. We select the soldering temperature according to the characteristics of the soldering product, and then adjust the temperature of the soldering iron tip. We cannot judge the temperature of the soldering iron tip based on the instrument of the soldering iron tip, because the instrument may be damaged and cause errors. Therefore, before soldering with solder wire, you should use a thermometer to test the temperature of the tip of the soldering iron before soldering.
5. The welding effect of the solder wire is also related to the frequent maintenance of the electric soldering iron. After a period of use, the electric soldering iron will produce undesirable conditions such as oxidation, graying or blackening, which will affect the tinning performance of the solder wire. Therefore, we should clean the soldering iron regularly with a sponge dipped in flux to remove oxides on the soldering iron, and replace the soldering iron tip if necessary. In addition, if the solder wire is not welded for more than 10 minutes, the power supply should be cut off.
