The difference between low temperature bismuth tin alloy and lead tin alloy

Bismuth-tin alloy is an important part of solder. Generally, solders containing bismuth and melting point below 183 °C are included in fusible alloys. In bismuth-tin alloys, eutectic or hypoeutectic alloys with narrow temperature difference range are formed, and those that can implement temperature control requirements are called bismuth-tin alloys. Bismuth-tin alloys are gradually developed and extended on the basis of fusible alloys, bismuth-tin alloys and tin-lead solders. The two have both continuity and difference. The main differences with tin-lead solders are:
First, the bismuth-tin alloy is for the purpose of temperature control,
At the same time, it can also be welded, while tin-lead solder only has the function of welding, which cannot meet the requirements of temperature control;
Second, the temperature difference of bismuth-tin alloy is smaller than that of tin-lead solder, the melting range is narrow, and the melting point is more accurate;
Third, the melting point of bismuth-tin alloy is lower than that of tin-lead solder, and it is easy to melt, and the formed thermal element is sensitive and has less error;
Fourth: Bismuth-tin alloy can be used for extreme temperature brazing of devices that are extremely sensitive to temperature, while tin-lead solder can only weld weldments above 183 °C;

Bismuth-tin alloy is composed of multi-component alloys, which requires purer metal elements, difficult smelting process, high technology content and better quality.
Fusible alloy features:
1. The soft melting temperature of the material is low, the glass mold and the small iron are firmly bonded, and the mold removal operation is convenient.
2. The material can be used repeatedly, that is, after removing the mold, put the bonding iron into boiling water or hot oil, the fusible alloy will fall off automatically, and it can be reused after cooling. This alloy has a low melting point and strong pressure resistance. It is easy to melt when heated, has strong fluidity, smooth surface, strong castability and strong mechanical properties. It is the best material for modern fire valves, fuses and temperature control components.
Fusible alloy element (thermal element) is a temperature-sensing control device that plays the role of detection and execution in fixed fire extinguishing system and fire prevention and smoke exhaust system. It is used in automatic fire extinguishing system action device, kitchen equipment fire extinguishing device, smoke fire extinguishing device, and fuse It is widely used in the actuators of fire dampers and smoke exhaust fire dampers, fire shutter temperature control release devices, and fire door automatic closing devices. The fusible alloys produced by our factory have low melting point, smooth outside and good fluidity. When these thermal elements reach this melting point, they will automatically melt and play their due protective role.
