Solder wire is a very important material in the electronic soldering industry, used for manual soldering of products and automatic soldering with the aid of machines. The tin wire is composed of two parts: tin alloy and flux. The alloy components are divided into tin-lead, tin-copper, etc., and the flux is evenly poured into the middle part of the tin alloy. The common classifications of tin wire are lead-free tin wire and leaded tin wire (also called lead-free solder wire and leaded tin wire); tin wires with different compositions have different melting points and corresponding uses.
Lead-free tin wire Sn99.3Cu0.7 is mainly used in the welding of electronic products with environmental protection requirements. Its solder joints are brighter and have excellent performance. The leaded tin wire is composed of tin-lead alloy and flux. The tin wire needs to be matched with an electric soldering iron when it is manually soldered in the electronic industry. The internal flux of the tin wire is mainly composed of rosin, which can moisten, cool down and improve the solderability. The role of the rosin can be adjusted according to the requirements of the operating speed; the tin wire is used as the filler metal to be added to the surface and gap of the electronic component, and the fixed electronic component becomes one of the main accessories for welding. In the previous article, we have introduced the knowledge of tin wire in detail. For more detailed knowledge, you can search for it.
Welding wire is mainly used as filler metal during welding or as a wire welding material for electrical conductivity at the same time. In gas welding and gas tungsten arc welding, the wire is used as the filler metal; in submerged arc welding, electroslag welding and other gas metal arc welding, the wire is both the filler metal and the conductive electrode. There are many types and classifications of welding wire:
1. Rolling category: including carbon steel welding wire, low alloy structural steel welding wire, alloy structural steel welding wire, stainless steel welding wire and non-ferrous metal welding wire, etc.
2. Casting: Some alloys, such as cobalt-chromium-tungsten alloy, cannot be forged, rolled and drawn, but are made by casting. It is mainly used for manual surfacing of workpiece surfaces to meet special performance requirements such as oxidation resistance, wear resistance and corrosion resistance at high temperatures. Continuous casting and liquid extrusion can produce cobalt-chromium-tungsten welding wires up to several meters long for automatic wire-filled gas tungsten arc welding to improve welding efficiency and surfacing quality, as well as improve working conditions. Cast iron welding is also sometimes used for cast wire.
3. Flux core type: a thin steel strip is rolled into a round or special-shaped steel tube, filled with a certain composition of powder, and a seamed flux-cored wire drawn by drawing, or a seamless flux core drawn with a steel tube filled with powder welding wire. The welding and deposition efficiency of this welding wire is high, the adaptability to steel is good, and the trial production period is short, so its usage and scope of use are constantly expanding. This wire is mainly used for carbon dioxide gas shielded welding, submerged arc welding and electroslag welding. The powder composition in flux-cored wire is generally similar to that of electrode coating. Flux-cored welding wire containing slag-forming, gas-forming and arc-stabilizing components does not require shielding gas during welding, and is called self-shielding flux-cored welding wire, which is suitable for the construction of large-scale welding structure projects.
In summary, I believe that everyone has a further understanding of tin wire and welding wire. Tin wire and welding wire are actually two different materials. The common point is that they can be used as a material for welding. The difference lies in their application. The scene, industry and field are different; the production process, composition and function category are different, so everyone must know the actual materials and specifications when ordering tin wire and welding wire, so as to avoid unnecessary mistakes. Double Chile solder manufacturers are mainly engaged in the production and wholesale of solder wire, lead-free solder wire, rosin solder wire, lead-free solder bar, lead-free solder paste, SMT patch solder paste, LED solder paste, SMT patch red glue and other solder products Wait, for more knowledge about soldering, you can pay attention to the online message of dual Chile soldering manufacturers and interact with us.
